Stop Motion

For this project I used the white board to create a short film about a dog and a boy. The plot of the story was inspired by the novel The Giving Tree by Shell Silverstein in the way the boy grows up. I made the film silent except for some music to emphasize the life of the boy and dog as a whole instead of individual moments. I chose to do the stop motion on a whiteboard so I could control the evens and life progression (it would have been hard to do this with a real dog plus you wouldn't get to see the age change). The whiteboard style was influenced by the stop motion animation The Marker Maker. By combining a story and the white board techniques I was able to create Dog Life.
